Smart, simplistic concept for a table-top or hanging light inspired by a solar eclipse. More information and other projects can be found on their blog.

Designer Slavche Tanevsky conceived this new and more aggressive design for the Lamborghini Reventon with an environmentally-friendly mindset by downsizing the body size, though it isn’t actually a hybrid. More about ithere.

Masuto Humidifier
from Product Design 2010/02/03 15:29

This image has no alt text

Designed by Shin Okada, this humidifier is made of Hinoki (a rot-resistant wood from Japanese Cypress) that naturally draws water from it’s base and spreads moisture into the air. It’s a great low-fi solution to dry conditions, and certainly better looking than electric humidifiers (not to mention quieter).

Think I might get one of these for the summer…sit down with a good book and a glass of wine or two!

I wish I had one of these when I was in university, what a wonderful idea - to be able to have a lightweight, portable stove for whenever you need it.  Or imagine having an oven in your kitchen, with no permanent stovetop - just coveted counterspace everywhere - you just plop out your placemat stovetop whenever/wherever you need it. The Cooka placemat stove is created of non-toxic LSR (Liquid Silicon Rubber) that you can roll up and stow away easily. The cooking plates heat up/cool down rapidly with silver thermal conduction.

An incredibly smart reinvention of wall outlets by this Vancouver industrial designer and architect. He’s streamlined these outlets in such a way that makes you wonder why on earth we ever used the old ones. Have a look at his website here. Also, an interesting interview with Ego Design here.
